Moto Guzzi V7 II Stornello Limited Edition.
After the release of the V7 II Stornello Limited Edition at EICMA last year, much anticipation has surrounded its arrival in Australia. Moto Guzzi Australia can now confirm that only 10 of the Moto Guzzi V7 II Stornello Limited Edition to be produced worldwide will be destined for Australia.
Legendary Moto Guzzi engineer, Giulio Cesare Carcano and his staff created the original Stornello in 1960. The Stornello was an entry level motorcycle which was light and easy to manage. The single cylinder 25° forward inclined engine boasted 7 HP and reached a top speed of 100 km/h. The double cradle open steel tube frame was welded entirely by a machine built specifically for the purpose. The Stornello was a popular model throughout the world, first as a practical vehicle and later as a quick motorcycle which offered a youthful and anti-conventional style thanks to the subsequent and more advanced versions such as the Sport in 1962. Of the many Stornello variations, the Regolarità became the most famous as it dominated the national and international off-road competitions. An off-road version was derived from this model in 1967, called the Stornello Scrambler. The Stornello remained in production until 1975.
Just like the Stornello Scrambler in 1972, the new V7 II Stornello Limited Edition combines a “pastel white” tank and a “racing red” frame which come together seamlessly to create the perfect canvas for the black 90° Transverse V Twin 750cc engine.
The V7 II Stornello Limited Edition features a complete 2 in 1 Arrow exhaust, aluminium mudguards, satin finished aluminium side number plates, polished alloy wheels and dedicated Stornello graphics. The production number of each motorcycle will be laser inscribed on to the upper part of the headstock to highlight its uniqueness.
The new V7 II Stornello Limited Edition has been built upon the popular V7 II. The V7 II offers stylistic personality, class leading safety and quality which are the hallmarks of the famous and historic brand from Mandello, Moto Guzzi. The V7 II is the only model in its segment to come standard with ABS, Traction Control and a Six Speed transmission.
The V7 II Stornello Limited Edition will arrive on Australian shores in May, and at just $16.5K plus ORC is sure to become a collector’s edition just like its forefather.
